Emergency Shelter Program

Short term emergency shelter designed to help women in immediate need of emergency shelter.
Short term up to 3 month

* Over 4000 women & children provided shelter since inception
* 90% report being homeless for first time
* 40% of women have experienced abuse
* 53% are mothers with dependant children
* Average client is mid 30s with 3 children
* 55% of children are 5 years or younger
* Over 50% lack high school diploma

Transitional Housing Programs

Longer term transitional housing & support services to help women gain educational and job skills so they may obtain permanent housing
Long term up to 24 months

* Continued counseling
* Transition into permanent housing

* 90% of women in shelter for two weeks obtain employment (7 week stay)
* 75% of emergency shelter clients report obtaining permanent housing (4 week stay)
* 90% of transitional clients increase educational and employment skills level (6 month stay)
